Verizon Heritage - THE Hilton Head South Carolina Golf Event
Hilton Head's annual PGA golf tournament -the “Verizon Heritage” is an unmatched Hilton Head South Carolina golf event - and it can make for a unique golf vacation. Check out the video we produced below.
The annual tournament is now in it’s 40th year and takes place on the Harbour Town Golf Links at The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island. The upcoming Heritage will be held on April 14-20, 2008.
2007 Champion
Boo Weekley scored the big win on the 2007 Verizon Heritage. Weekley surpassed Ernie Els by a single shot to capture his first career victory on the PGA TOUR.

Rich History
The first “Heritage Classic” as it was called when it began in 1969, started with a thrilling down-to-the-wire victory by Arnold Palmer.
Palmer brought an end to a 14 month losing streak and reclaimed his title of “King of Golf” of that era.
With Arnold Palmer's career-extending win, the first Heritage Classic gained great notoriety in the golf world. The national media followed the story closely and The Heritage Classic, Harbour Town, the island and Hilton Head golf benefited greatly from the exposure.

The Heritage Classic’s list of champions includes Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Johnny Miller, Tom Watson, Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Payne Stewart, Davis Love and other legendary greats.
