The Main Street Inn sits in an off-the-beaten-path location on the north-end of the island. It’s a unique spot that may be just your cup of tea…
Actually the hotel does have a daily afternoon tea (not to be confused with an afternoon tee-time). There is also a superb complimentary breakfast served throughout the morning.
The whole feel of this place is that of a quaint & luxurious southern-style inn. Romantic? Yes – that would be the word. There is very much a “feminine” feel to this high-quality accommodation.
There are gorgeous gardens, short walking paths, fountains and a small pool area. The cozy-comfortable rooms are well appointed in a traditional style. It’s a well cared for facility.
If you want to be close to the beach. tennis or golf you’ll need to hop in your car and drive - or stay somewhere else. This hotel is somewhat isolated – that’s part of the charm!!
Without a doubt you can now decide if The Inn at Main Street is what you’re looking for.

Hilton Head Island
The Hilton Resort is just down the street from The Marriot in Palmetto Dunes Plantation. It sits on the same stretch of beach and shares the same great views out over the ocean.
An advantage of this Hilton Head SC hotel is that you don’t have the hustle & bustle of some of the hotels above…and it has the always great combination of pool-spa-beach right at the rear of the hotel.

The Hilton Resort has very spacious rooms that – to the surprise of many visitors - include a small kitchen area. It is certainly one of the biggest hotel rooms you will find in your travels.
The hotel buildings and grounds have a bit of a nautical theme but are otherwise somewhat bland – nice place, well maintained – but not necessarily elegant.
The rooms are laid out in a number of three story buildings that are interconnected by outdoor covered wooden walkways.
A nice place to stay and usually a good value – especially for its beach location.
