Mid-Island Hilton Head Restaurants
Gruby’s New York Deli
is just like it sounds – except friendly! Located at The Fresh Market Shoppes on Hwy 278, this is very much the top deli in town, with plentiful amounts of highest quality breakfast and lunch items. Delicious sandwiches and great french fries too! Consistent food & service. Of course it’s casual. $$
Santa Fe Café
Unique and tasty southwestern fare. Located at Plantation Center right outside of Palmetto Dunes, this casual/upscale pick ends up on everyone’s best list. Trendy and comfortable adobe-inspired setting also offers rooftop dining and cantina. Lunch and dinner served (good lunch prices). $$$
Alexander’s
is a very long-time favorite of both locals and visitors. It’s just inside the Palmetto Dunes gate and the spotlight is on seafood. Very consistent service and food with a variety of seating areas. Nice atmosphere, an eclectic wine list and casual/upscale dress. $$$
Giuseppe's Pizza
in the Plaza at Shelter Cove…People love this place! Decent pizza with lots of options. Sandwiches, calzones and pasta are also served up with outdoor seating available. Pizza joint casual.$$
Best Hilton Head Island Restaurants
Mid Island and North-End
North-Island Hilton Head Restaurants
IL Carpaccio
is a restaurant & upscale pizzeria in Pineland Station. With 5 years plus under it’s belt, IL Carpaccio has helped to turn this once forgotten shopping center around. Lunch & dinner with rich, flavorful Tuscany-style Italian entrees. Crisp & delicious brick oven pizzas are another choice. Outdoor seating available, casual but can also be upscale. $$$
Frankie Bones
At Main St. Village is endlessly popular. It’s casual but upscale feel & rat-pack vibe are one-of-a-kind on the Hilton Head Island restaurant scene. American and Italian entrees compete for your attention. Lunch & dinner are served well by a friendly staff…and lunch is by far the way to go in our book – great prices and our vote for best burger on the island. Unbeatable spaghetti and meatballs too. $$$
Hudson’s Seafood
They advertise “Yes we’re still here” and they are for great reason. The food & location are dictionary perfect for “Seafood Restaurant”. It’s one of the oldest Hilton Head restaurants and it looks it … but the atmosphere, waterside location, docks with working shrimp boats – they all work wonderfully for an ideal casual seafood experience. Rachel Ray stretched her “$40 a Day” here too. $$$
Crazy Crab
with two locations, this one is right on Hwy. 278 close to the entrance to Hilton Head (the other is in Harbourtown). Crazy Crab has long been a favorite to visitors. They have a casual-nautical thing going on. Well-prepared seafood with a very picturesque creek location. Worth a look for sure, it may become one of your top Hilton Head Island restaurants too. $$$
